Heroin seized along LoC

Alert troops of Army have seized heroin worth crores of rupees along the Line of Control in Lam Sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir, police sources said here on Friday.

They said the Lam Battalion of Army noticed some suspicious movement in the area, on which a search and sanitization operation was launched.

“During search, a black polythene bag containing six packets of heroin weighing 5.8 kg was recovered,” they said and added that a case under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Nowshera.

Further investigation in the matter was going on, said police.
