J&K govt mulls to setup two state-of-art hotels at Patnitop

To create state-of-the art hospitality infrastructure in the hill resort of Patnitop, the development agency is mulling to open two hotels there.

The sources have informed that PDA has tasked the Dulight to submit a feasibility report on prospectus of opening two hotels in Patnitop.

It is learnt that as per feasibility report by Dulight- two hotels worth Rs.194 crore will give impetus to the tourist infrastructure in Patnitop

Sources added that for the purpose the government will outsource its two existing infrastructures in the hill resort of Patnitop.

Meanwhile, the government has constituted two different committees for outsourcing assets of the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) and functioning of the Rapid Assessment System (RAS).
The General Administration Department and ARI and Trainings Department have issued orders in this regard.
“Sanction is hereby accorded to constitution of Committee, comprising the following, for surveying details and title of land required for expansion/extension of properties existing at Patnitop, Padoora& Sanasar and to examine all related issues regarding permissibility of new constructions as per the existing laws and regulations”, reads the order issued by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Principal Secretary to the Government.

The Committee will have Managing Director, JKTDC (Convener Chairman), Chief Executive Officer, Patnitop Member JKTDC Development Authority (Member), Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) concerned (Member), Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ramban (Member), Assistant Commissioner, Revenue Udhampur (Member) and Wildlife Warden Concerned (Member).

As per the order the Committee will survey details and title of land required for expansion/extension of properties existing at Patnitop, Padoora& Sanasar and examine all related issues regarding permissibility of new constructions as per the existing laws and regulations.

The Committee shall submit its report within a period of 15 days. It is further ordered that Managing Director, JKTDC shall liaise with the consultants appointed by the NITI Aayog for examining recommendations with regard to expansion/additional construction for the identifying assets.

The other order for functioning of Rapid Assessment of Systems has been issued by Amit Sharma, Secretary to the Government, ARI and Trainings Department.

“Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of Inspection Team comprising of the following to undertake the snap Administrative Inspection to ascertain the status of online service delivery in respect of all 178 Services linked with RAS after 15.06, 2022”, the order reads.

The Committee will have two representatives from NIC, Civil Secretariat Jammu, two representatives from NIC, Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, Ashok Kumar, Head Assistant, ARI & training Department, Civil Secretariat, Jammu, and Mohammad Yousuf Rather, ARI & Trainings Department, Civil Secretariat, Srinagar.

The Inspection Team shall work under the overall supervision of Sunaina Sharma, JKAS, Additional Secretary to the Government, ARI & Trainings Department, who shall be assisted by Shabir Ahmad Baba, Under Secretary to the Government, ARI & Trainings Department.
