Light rain lashes Jammu

More rains lashed Jammu region in the last 24 hours, officials said on Sunday. The weatherman has forecast isolated to scattered light rain/thundershowers over Jammu and Kashmir in the next 24 hours and isolated “very light rain/ thundershowers” in the subsequent two days.

The Jammu region saw brief spells of rain in the past 24 hours. Other areas in the region, including Udhampur, Katra, Samba and Akhnoor also experienced rainfall today. However the gusty winds have led to snapping of power in many of the localities.

The MeT office has forecasted intermittent light to moderate rain, with a threat of flash floods and shooting stone at vulnerable spots
