Sensex climbs 518 points to trade at 58,906

The Sensex and the Nifty today climbed more than 0.8 per cent in the afternoon trade. Both stock indices rose amid mixed global cues.

The Sensex was trading above 58,900 level while the Nifty was trading above the 17,500 mark. The Sensex climbed 518 points, or 0.89 per cent, to trade at 58,906. The Nifty also surged 145 points, or 0.83 per cent, to trade at 17,542 when the reports last came in.
