MoE asks SED to focus on improving enrolment

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has asked the Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department to lay more focus on improving the net enrollment of secondary level.

As per reports, Ministry of Education (MoE) said that there is a need to lay more focus on improvement of net enrollment at secondary level at both the level-lower secondary as well as upper secondary education.

The ministry has further said, “However, challenges remain in reducing regional disparities and inequalities among secondary school-age students from different socioeconomic backgrounds.”

It states that the MoE again this academic year has requested the local government to improve the learning outcome of the students.

“The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir was requested to analyze learning outcomes and provide interventions to improve learning outcomes of the students,” MoE said.

It also said that there was a need for more access to learning opportunities and to improve learning and skills at all levels and protection for children in emergencies.
