Sensex slumps 792 points to trade at 59,506 in afternoon trade

At the stock markets, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange slumped 792 points, or 1.3 percent, to trade at 59,506, in the afternoon trade at 2 O’clock.

The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange plunged 230 points, or 1.3 percent, to 17,727.
