Asoka Mission in collaboration with LAHDC Kargil organises 5-day free medical camp
In Kargil, Asoka Mission in collaboration with LAHDC Kargil is organizing a 5-day free medical camp from today till 30th of this month. 17 super-specialist doctors from different departments of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, are participating in the camp at the newly constructed 300 bedded District Hospital Kargil. The camp aims at providing expert medical services to poor and needy people of Kargil. More from Our Kargil Correspondent:
“Asoka Mission, headed by Venerable Lama Lobzang has been engaged in providing charitable medical care to the people of Ladakh. Under the initiatives, Asoka Mission also facilitates super-specialty treatment at AIIMS in Delhi to patients suffering chronic diseases like cancer, neurological disorders, and cardiological diseases.
Needy are also provided with free accommodation in the premises of Asoka Mission in New Delhi. In the Kargil camp, focus is given on helping patients hailing from the remote areas of Ladakh or with economically weak backgrounds. Asoka Mission has been organizing free annual medical camps in Ladakh with the help of super-specialist doctors from AIIMS. In addition to the upcoming camp in Kargil, Asoka Mission will also organize a weeklong mega surgical camp in Leh from 9th next month, for knee, hip replacement, and plastic surgeries.
