Shehzad Shabir as an actor needs no introduction to Kashmiris and is a household name due to his acting skills besides being an equally able writer and actor.
Shezad Shabir has charted his path to acting and writing through sheer hard work, passion and sincerity and is equally an enthusiastic sports person and says that acting and writing is his bread and butter even though in his child hood he wanted to become a doctor.
Shaezad’s dream of becoming a doctor was shattered due to untimely demise of his father who was also an intellectual of tall standing and forced Shezad to explore other possibilities to support his family which was run by his mother work hard to make ends meet.
Shezad belongs to Srinagar and was born in Zainakadal area of Srinagar and was the eldest son of the family when he lost his father in an accident.
From the beginning he was inclined towards art and came into contact with a TV Producer after he donated blood to a person where this TV producer Nazir Dara sahab met him and gave him the chance to face the camera for the first time.
He wrote his first half hour play for his school and directed it besides acting in it. Shezad has also been a Marshal Art student besides being an excellent football player, but his dream of doctor could not be realised.
He has acted in various TV serials and stage shows and says that his dream is to play a lawyer in a serial even though he has played various roles including that of a lawyer but wants a full-length role of a lawyer.
Shezad Shabir also thanked Rakesh Roshan Bhat and Rohit Bhat of Vomedh group for promoting Kashmiri Language in the state through stage and TRN.
