Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri today, October 3, said that the need to focus on habitat is greater than ever before.

Addressing an event on the occasion of World Habitat Day in New Delhi, Mr. Puri said habitat needs caring and habitat conservation is an important focus of the Narendra Modi government.

The theme of World Habitat Day this year is “Mind the Gap. Leave No One and No Place Behind.” Mr. Puri said this year’s theme draws inspiration from Sustainable Development Goals.

The Minister pointed out that this year’s theme could not have a more befitting message. He emphasized the need for ensuring that the benefits of developments reach the needy. Mr. Puri said everyone bears the responsibility of leaving behind a better habitat than what was inherited.
