JKSSB announces final selection list of Class-IV posts after 2 yrs

The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board has announced the final selection list of Class-IV posts, exams of which were conducted two years back.

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB), vide Notification No. 01 of 2020 dated 26.06.2020, advertised these 8575 Class-IV posts under District/Divisional/Union Territory Cadres.

The JKSSB conducted the OMR-based Objective Type Written Test examination for the aforesaid Class-IV posts belonging to various departments in three batches on 27h, 28th February and 1 March 2021. The JKSSB called upon the candidates to furnish their preferences for the allocation of Cadres/Departments, online w.e.f. 26.03.2021 to 01.04.2021, which was later extended up to 02.05.2021.

The Selection Committee constituted for this purpose prepared the Provisional Selection List for 5175 Class-TV posts in Phase-I. A notification in this regard has been issued by Secretary J&K Services Selection Board
The Board in its 190th meeting held on 15th of October 2021, approved the Provisional Selection List-Cum-Allocation of Cadres for 5175 Class-IV posts (out of total of 8575 posts), and the same was notified vide No. SSB/Secy/Class-IV/2021/7072-81 dated 15.10.2021.

However, among these, 60 posts were kept unfilled/reserved for want of certain clarifications. Whereas, while finalizing the selection for these 5175 posts in Phase-1, the Horizontal Reservation of 4% to the Physically Challenged candidates could not be applied and similarly, the Horizontal Reservation of 6% earmarked for Ex-Serviceman was partially applied on account of pending clarification/s from the Competent Authority.

The candidature in respect of 60 posts which was kept unfilled in Phase-I of the selection process has been found ineligible thereby making these posts available at this stage. Consequently, 3422 posts are now available for being considered for filling up in Phase-II (8575- 5175+60-38=3422).

The selection committee in the board prepared the Provisional Selection list and placed the same before the Board in its 201t meeting held on 23.04.2022. The Board, after deliberating all the aspects of the selection approved the Provisional Selection list/Allocation of Cadres process, viz; District Cadre, Divisional Cadre and UT Cadre comprising 3200 candidates only, as recommended by the Selection Committee.

The revised provisional selection list was prepared and the same was, accordingly, placed before the Board in its 204th meeting held on 23.06.2022.

Whereas, the SSB, vide Notification No. SSB/Secy/Secy/SeI/Class-IV/5095-5102 dated 01.07.2022, issued the Provisional Selection List cum-Allocation of Cadres in respect of 3422 Class-IV posts as approved by the Board under provisions of the Jammu & Kashmir Appointment to Class-IV (Special Recruitment) Rules 2020 and sought objections from candidates regarding the said provisional list.

Upon consideration of objections/representations so received, the Final Selection List was prepared and placed before the Board in its 211th Meeting held on 30.09.2022.

Whereas, the Board after deliberations, and taking note of the fact that while finalizing the selection for 5175 Class-IV posts during the Phase-1, the Horizontal Reservation has not been applied for the Physically Challenged Persons, while it has been partially applied for the Ex-Servicemen, approved the Final Selection List cum-Allocation-of Cadres in respect of remaining 3422 Class-IV Posts, advertised vide Notification No. 01 of 2020 dated 26.06.2020, besides the change in cadre/category/department in respect of candidates as mentioned in Annexure B, C and D in the notification, the notification reads.

Now, therefore, the final selection list for 3422 Class-IV Posts in District/Divisional/Union Territory Cadres, advertised vide Notification No. 01 of 2020 dated 04.06.2020, is hereby notified, it reads.

As per the notification, the final Selection List shall be subject to the outcome of the writ petition(s), if any, pending in the court of law. The Final Selection List shall also be subject to the Outcome of any enquiry involving candidate(s), figuring in this Selection List, it reads.
