Promised plot, political party leader dupes Rs 50 L from etd FCI engineer
A retired FCI engineer has allegedly been duped of Rs.50 lakh by a senior leader of a national political party on the pretext of a plot near Satellite Township, Kotbhalwal area.
The leader, who has a tag of a powerful national political party, received whooping amount from the retired engineer and later refused to sell the same.
The aggrieved engineer later knocked on the door of Crime Branch Jammu where the investigation of the case is under progress.
Mahesh Sharma, the aggrieved engineer, in his complaint told Crime Branch that the political party leader who was earlier in NC party had made an agreement for selling a plot for Rs 50 lakh with him and accordingly he paid him the money through cheques.
After having amount, the leader refused him to hand over the possession of said piece of land.
The aggrieved went to other stalwarts of the NC party who suggested him to knock the door of Crime Branch for justice as the man in question has left their party and stepped into a national political party.
“I went to a school being run by him and asked him to repay my hard earned amount, but instead of giving head to my words he started threatening me saying that he has a reputation in society and is enjoying good relations in police and bureaucrat circles. He asked me to go where ever I want to go”, the aggrieved engineer told the Investigation Officer of Crime Branch.
As the Crime Branch starts investigation, one Anil Gupta on the behalf of alleged fraudster leader, called the aggrieved engineer and offered him a plot in another location. However, the said plot was later turned out to be state land. The investigation of the case was in progress when the last reports poured in.
