Clean India Campaign to continue till October 31

The Ministry of Youth Affair and Sports is organising a month-long Clean India Campaign to create awareness among the people about the Clean India Initiative.

The main aim of the programme is to raise awareness among the masses on single-use plastic and waste management, The campaign was started on October 1st and will continue till october 31st 2022.

In a notification, the Minister said that it set a target to collect around 1 crore Kg of waste under the programme in a year 2022, by engaging the youth organizations, such as NYKS, and NSS throughout the country.

The Ministry also urged the various departments for the successful implementation of the campaign.
