Young and elderly ladies must share their gynecological problems with their doctor: Dr. Samita Bhat
The Kath Bath series of The Right News talked to Dr Samita Bhat, renowned Gynecologist and Cancer Specialist who advises females not to hide any facts regarding their common gynecological problems from the doctor and seek immediate treatment.
Jammu, October 22, 2022: In its series of PagahKathBath renowned Gynecologist and Cancer Specialist, Dr. Samita Bhat talked to Bharati Kaul of The Right News and advised female folk not to hide any facts regarding their common gynecological problems from the doctor and seek immediate treatment.
Talking about the inhibitions among people about the Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine Dr Samita Bhat says that this vaccine is a must for females particularly young girls for the prevention of cervical cancer adding even though the maximum benefit is seen among young girls between 9 to 14 but any women married or unmarried can get vaccinated to remain on the right path.
Dr. Bhat also says that it is the duty of the gynecologist that he/she should ask the patients and their young female family members to get vaccinated against the HPV and added that doctors are stressing the government to include it in the regular immunization programme to eradicate it forever.
Dr. Bhat said that female folk must share their day-to-day problems with their doctor adding that elderly ladies who are facing vaginal problems after menopause must also seek immediate treatment as hiding this from the doctor for a longer time might become serious if not treated well in advance.
The virginal itching is one of the problems that normally ladies don’t talk to their doctor but they must understand that if left untreated it can make their life a hell in due course of time, Dr. Samita added.
