Gujarat Polls: Campaigning for first phase gathers momentum, senior leaders to address public meetings in 72 constituencies
In Gujarat, a total of 833 candidates are in the fray for the second phase of assembly elections which will be held on 5 December.
Meanwhile, campaigning for the first phase has gathered further momentum with star Campaigners of various political parties touring the constituencies to woo the voters. Voting for the first phase will be held on 1st December for 89 seats of Saurashtra, Kutch, and South Gujarat.

Our correspondent reports that senior leaders of BJP will address public meetings in 72 constituencies of Gujarat today. 27 senior leaders including party president JP Nadda, 8 Union Ministers, and three Chief Ministers are included in the list of election campaigners today.
Mr. Nadda is scheduled to address public meetings at Shehera, Chanasma, Siddhpur, and Nikol in Ahmedabad, while Union Home Minister Amit Shah will hold election meetings in Khambhat, Tharad, Deesa, and Sabarmati areas of Ahmedabad. Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar is scheduled to hold a roadshow in Jamalpur Khadia while addressing a public meeting in Dariyapur. On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party’s National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal will also address one public meeting in Khambhalia
