Guru Tegh Bahadur Martyrdom Commemorated by Akhil Bhartiya Sahitya Parishad jointly with Sangarmall Foundation

The supreme martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahab is an unparalleled sacrifice in the service of humanity. It is the divinity brought in expression to show to general masses that supreme sacrifice for the wellbeing of the suppressed , dejected and exploited is Godliness .
Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahab was born in Amritsar on April 21, 1621 to Mata Nanki and Guru Hargobind Sahab, the sixth Sikh guru, who raised an army against the Mughals and introduced the concept of warrior saints to challenge by aggressive violence and treacherous death penalties to the section of populations who did not give up their religious faiths and beliefs to accept Islam, the religion of Mughals.
The martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahab is observed on 24 November every year .  This year Akhil Bhartiya Sahitya Parishad, JK Unit observed this day,in advance on 22/11/2022. The programme comprised in two sessions. first session was a symposium. the topic of the symposium was ‘Guru Teg Bahadur – A Social Saviour” and the second session was a Devotional  Poetry Recitation Programme. The venue of the programme:  Sanjivani Shardha Kendra, Bohri, tallab Tiloo.
The programme started by paying devotional  flower tributes  to Guru Tegh Bahadur ji and lighting of the lamp  by prof. P N Trisal, Arvind Shah, the National Executive Committee Member and incharge Jammu Kashmir welcomed the guests and invited dignitaries to dais. Professor P.N. Trisal presided over the function. Dr. Sumar  Khajuria  was the chief guest and – Sh. Pran Pandit and Sh. Autar Trakroo were the guests of honour.
Introducing the topic of symposium Sh. Arvind Shah said that the life and teachings of ‘Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahab ” can be understood by studying  His life and practices, which according to him are revealed by
 a)His Sacrifice for the suppressed, exploited and persecuted / eliminated
b) His ultimate commitments to Social Justice
c) His commitments to Human Rights without any considerations, what so ever
d) His guidance to lead on to the spiritual path of salvation and divinity
The programme continued by inviting Sh. Rajveer Singh , a young research scholar to recite Guru Vani: the verses composed by Guru Tegh Bahadur ji , and  Sh. P N Kaul, author of two books on Lal Ded was invited to recite Lal Vakhs.
Sh. Upinder Ambardar, a scholar of religious studies, read his paper, he referred to the historic event of supreme sacrifice of the Guru to save the whole Kashmiri Pandit from the atrocities and mass direct persecution by death. Sh. Rajveer Singh in his  specifically topiced paper, “Social essence of the Divine Hymns” written and  composed by Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahab to bring forth the nectar of spirituality and divinity for Human Race, at large.
Sh. Pran Pandit, an Author and a former senior superintendent of police in his paper made references to Guru Tegh Bahadur  Sahab as a distinguished warrior , the world has ever seen. The warrior whose extreme expression of warriorship is extraordinarily exemplary. Guru Tagh Bahadur Sabah , in order , to make the suppressed win over the tyranny, made the supreme sacrifice and thus saved Kashmiri Pandit Community from termination by death.
Sh. Sumar Khajuria, a Human Rights Activist and member of Human Rights organisation brought forth the fact that Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahab  has been the greatest champion of Human Rights that the world has ever  seen.His martyrdom as a human rights activist is a definition that the world at large is yet conceive fully. Sh. Autar Trakroo, a meaningfully committed social activist spoke about the immense relevance of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahab  in present day world scenario.
And in his presidential  address Professor Pran Nath Trisal, a distinguished scholar and authority on linguistics and literature dwelt on different dimensions of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahab to make it easy to comprehend  that the life, action and word of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahab need to be understood, comprehended and attempted to be put in the daily dispositions of living , that will make world, a better place to live the second session was very brief, only two poets  Smt. Santosh Shah Nadan and Sh. B. N Abhilash read their poems that thrilled the audience.
This programme , on 22/11/2022 was drawn to conclusion at 6 PM by a vote of thanks by Shri Ramesh Hangloo, Director Sharda Radio . He thanked the scholars , poets , the audience, the press, especially TRN. He also rendered his gratitude to Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad, J K Unit for organising the programme and also the management of Sanjeevni shardha  Kendra for making their premises available for the function.
