Centre forms panel to revamp Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme

Centre has formed a panel to revamp the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.

Sources said the panel set up by the Rural Development Ministry, will recommend institutional mechanisms for more effective utilization of funds of the scheme.

The panel will examine expenditure trends across various states and identify reasons for variations.
