Domestic share markets witness modest losses

The domestic share markets today witnessed modest losses in the afternoon trade. The Sensex and the Nifty, both fell amid negative cues from global share markets.

The Sensex was trading below the 62,500 mark while the Nifty was trading below 18,600 level.

The Sensex declined 128 points to trade at 62,499. The Nifty also slipped 55 points to trade at 18,588.

In the forex market, the rupee appreciated 10 paise to trade at 82 rupees and 51 paise against the US dollar in the afternoon deals.
