Admin ask chemists in Valley not to display discount boards

Calling the practice intolerable and a violation, the Drug Controller Kashmir has directed chemist shops in a valley not to display discount percentages outside premises.

The department has further asked all the stakeholders who are dealing in the Pharma business in Kashmir to obtain medical products from the outside state only when they obtain a series of documents from supply sources.

“Good Trade Practices support any purchase prom sources located outside the U T in exceptional circumstances where local sources of supply are not available Rules 65, 51 (3) of the Drug & Cosmetic Rules. 1945 provides the complete procedure regarding sale or resale by the wholesale”, it reads.
