Vomedh organizes Cultural programme, exhibition during ‘Waliv Samav’ Herath Milan programme at Jagti
Jammu, February 16, 2023: Vomedh, the prominent theatre and cultural group today organized a Kashmiri Pandit exhibition, cultural programme and painting exhibition during the ‘Waliv Samav’ Herath Milan (Maha Shivratri Mahotsav) programme organized by Relief and Rehabilitation Department at Kashmiri Migrant Township Jagti on the eve of ‘Herath’ to present the rich cultural traditions and heritage of Kashmiri Pandits before the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha who was the chief guest on the occasion.
A Kashmiri dance programme ‘Herath Maej Aaye, Ghar Son Chaye’ choreographed by Sunny Mujoo was presented depicting the entire sequence of how Herath is celebrated by Kashmiri Pandits right from Okdoh to Teel Aetham.

The highlights of the programme were scintillating performance by the Vomedh artists which were highly appreciated by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha.
Apart from this Veeg Vachan, and traditional greetings formed the part of the programme to receive the chief guest.
Manoj Sinha observed all the items on display very keenly and also the painting exhibition by Veerji Sumbly.
The items that caught the attention of the LG include Muhul, Kanz, Graitin, Haara Gindun, Yander and other unique items used during Kashmiri marriages.
The Kashmiri song presentation was done by Rajesh Khar and his troupe.
Rohit Bhat, president Vomedh and Bharti Kaul Vice President Vomedh besides Vomedh artists and members were present during the programme.
