US Secretary of Treasury Janet L Yellen to participate in G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meet set to begin in Bengaluru on Friday
The US Secretary of the Treasury Janet L Yellen will participate in the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meet set to begin in Bengaluru tomorrow.
The US Secretary will participate in the first two sessions of the meet on International Financial Architecture, Sustainable Finance and Infrastructure and another session on Financial Sector and Financial Inclusion.
Sources said that a media advisory issued by the office of the US Secretary of the Treasury informs that she will engage with other G20 members to address challenges and build a stronger, more resilient global economy.
The day after tomorrow she will convene a roundtable with US and Indian Executives in the tech sector to discuss deepening US-Indian economic ties as well as advancing shared goals like bolstering digital public infrastructure.
That day she will also participate in the third G20 session on Global Economic, Health and International Tax. The US Secretary is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with our Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and United Kingdom Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt.
