RSS, BJP leaders hold closed-door meeting
Facing the heat from their political opponents and general public, the BJP leaders here on Friday went into a huddle and held “consultations” with RSS leaders to decide on future course of action over the government decision to impose property tax.

Sources said the top BJP leaders had a long meeting with the RSS leaders and they discussed the situation that emerged from the government decision to levy property tax on all residential and commercial buildings within municipal limits across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
With the BJP preferred to maintain a silence over the agenda of the meeting, sources said that threadbare discussions over property tax were held with RSS leaders who were consulted as to how the Saffron party should proceed and respond to the public anger.
“There is a strong possibility that the BJP and the RSS leaders deliberated upon the serious implications of the government decision on the party’s performance in the next elections to be held for urban local bodies and J&K assembly,” sources said.
