President Droupadi Murmu visits Shri Harmander Sahib
President of India Droupadi Murmu on her visit to Amritsar city of Punjab visited Shri Harmander Sahib on Thursday. She stayed at Shri Harmander Sahib for almost two hours and wrote a message in the visitor’s book of the Golden temple.
In her message, she said that she is very happy to visit Shri Harmander Sahib and pay obeisance at the holy temple. She noted that the holy place with beautiful architecture evokes feelings of calmness and harmony amid divine serenity. She also wrote that she prayed for peace, progress and prosperity in the country.
She also said that it was great to see the volunteers working tirelessly in the spirit of service and devotion, especially during the langar. May the teachings of Sikh Gurus continue to inspire us to practice brotherhood and unity, she added.
After visiting Shri Harmander Sahib she also visited Jallianwala Bagh and Shri Durgiana temple and Bhagwan Valmiki Ram Tirath Sathal.
