Sensex declines 420 points; Nifty falls 133 points in afternoon trade

At the stock market, the Sensex and the Nifty were trading in the negative territory in the afternoon deals.

The Index of the top 30 companies at the Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, was trading below 60,000 mark while the Nifty, index of the top 50 companies at the National Stock Exchange, was trading below 17,700 level.

In intra-day trade, the Sensex declined 420 points to trade at 59,928. The Nifty fell 133 points to trade at 17,621  a short while ago.
