Sensex declines 759 points to trade at 59,048

At the stock markets, the Sensex and the Nifty were trading in the red, with a loss of over one percent in afternoon deals amid weak global trends.

The Sensex declined 759 points, or 1.27 percent, to trade at 59,048. The Nifty fell 212 points, or 1.21 percent, to trade at 17,377 a short while ago.
