Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur to inaugurate fourth Y20 consultation meeting in Pune

Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Information & Broadcasting, Anurag Singh Thakur will inaugurate the fourth Y20 consultation meeting to be held in Pune today, March 11, at the Symbiosis International University, Lavale. The theme of this meeting is ‘Peacebuilding and Reconciliation: Ushering in an Era of No War- the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and The Future of Work.

Youth 20 (Y20) is an official consultation forum for youth from all G20 member countries. Y20 encourages youth as future leaders to raise awareness of global issues, exchange ideas, argue, negotiate, and reach a consensus. The Y20 India Summit in 2023 would exemplify India’s youth-centric efforts and provide an opportunity to showcase its values and policy measures to the youth across the globe.

Dr. Sundeep Waslekar, President, of Strategic Foresight Group will be the Keynote Speaker for the fourth Y20 consultation meeting. The audience will comprise young delegates, invitees, and students from India and G20 countries. The meeting aims to inspire young minds and foster international cooperation and understanding.

As a build-up to this event, various other activities were organised at Lavale. These included cultural programmes, a model village to showcase Indian handicrafts, a workshop on Mobile Filmmaking, poster Competitions, Essay Competition, Poetry Competitions, Photography Competitions, and Debate Competition on the topics of women empowerment, disaster and crisis management, green development and climate change. Winners of these competitions will also participate in consultative meetings.
