Sensex plunges 546 points to trade at 58,589

Key domestic indices were trading with losses in the afternoon deals. The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange plunged 546 points or 0.9 percent to trade at  58,589.

The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange fell 151 points or 0.9 percent to trade at 17,262 a short while ago.
