One lakh 48 thousand Wi-Fi hotspots deployed under PM-WANI framework in country, says MoS for Communications Devusinh Chauhan

Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chauhan today, March 15 informed the Lok Sabha that around one lakh 48 thousand Wi-Fi hotspots have been deployed under the Prime Minister’s Wi-Fi Access Network Interface (PM-WANI) framework in the country including rural and backward areas till 9th of March.

In a written reply, he said 158 companies have registered in the Central Registry for PM-WANI as Public Data Office Aggregators as on 9th March.
