Second Sherpa Meet under India’s G20 Presidency to begin at Kumarakom today

The plenary sessions of the second Sherpa Meet under India’s G20 Presidency will begin at the KTDC Waterscapes Resort at Kumarakom this morning.

 

Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan will deliver the special remarks at the inaugural session of the meeting.

Different sessions on Technological Transformation, Accelerated Inclusive and Resilient Growth, Women-led Development and bilateral meetings form part of the deliberations.

Working Group meetings relating to the digital economy, health, tourism, agriculture, and employment among others will also be held.

This evening, the G20 Sherpas will be taken on a House Boat for Kayal Conversations or Sofa Talks. The delegates will also go on a cruise on the backwaters later.

This will be followed by a conversation over dinner, in which Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan will also take part.
