Sensex rises 193 points to trade at 59,848

Domestic benchmark indices registered modest gains in the afternoon trade. The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 193 points or 0.3 percent to trade at 59,848.

The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange advanced 47 points or 0.3 percent to trade at 17,671 a short while ago.
