KP delegation called on RC J&K

A srong delegation of Prominent Kashmir Pandit leaders comprising of camp/non camp representatives, intellectuals, Social activists and political leaders of different parties under the leadership of Senior KP leader M.K. Yogi called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Jammu and Kashmir in his office Chamber at Jammu and held a detailed meeting and threadbare discussions on the pertinent issues being faced by the Kashmiri Migrants living in exile for last more than thirty one years and sought their resolution at the earliest .
In Press Statement issued today, these leaders said that the issues which were discussed and taken up with Relief Commissioner J&K were Enhancement of cash Relief Assistance from 130000/ To 25000,Creation of additional 15,000 Jobs for educated unemployed Youth, Compensation to unemployed overaged educated KP. youth, Repair/renovation of all Migrant quarters internally,Ensuring regular supply of ration for the migrants of District Udhampur, Road map for Rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits back in Valley as per their wishes, Ensuring a proper regular supply of pure drinking water and electricity in all migrant camps in view of coming summer season, Implementation of centrally sponsored schemes in all KP colonies including camps/non camps.

Requisite posting of Staff in all Migrant camp schools to tide over the shortage, Pension Schemes for handicapped/old age and other economically backward migrants living in exile for last more than 31years, Special Scholarship schemes for poor migrant Students for boosting their education in order to make them self reliant, Repair/Renovation of interior link roads in migrants camps including jagti township and Construction of shops inside newly constructed colonies in Kashmir for rehabilitating uneducated youth.

While speaking on the occasion M.K.Yogi, Vinod Pandita, Sunil Pandita, Sanjay Dhar, Kuldeep Raina, Nazir Ahmed, Rajeev Pandita, B.L. Bhat (Ex MLC) , Dr. T.K. Bhat, Virender Sathu, M.K. Bhat, Anil Kumar Bhan and Sunderi Lal Koul whole heartedly expressed gratitude to Relief Commissioner for giving patient hearing to the delegation. These leaders also praised the efficient work culture and many developments steps taken by this department for the betterment of community under the dynamic and efficient guidance of the Relief Commissioner.
The appealed RC to take up these all these listed pertinent issues with the concerned authorities for their early amelioration as RC being the sole Nodal officer of Migrants.
Mr K.K. Sidha Relief Commissioner while speaking on the occasion explained in detail about many munificent steps taken by his office for the betterment and welfare of migrants as well assured the assembly that the issues listed in the meeting would be taken with the concerned authorities for early resolution.
In the end vote of thanks was presented by Sunderi Lal Koul .
