Sensex rises 179 points, Nifty to end at 18,315

The key domestic indices today logged marginal gains. The BSE Sensex closed above 61,900 points while the NSE Nifty settled above 18,300 level. Both indices rose amid negative cues from global share markets.

The Sensex rose 179 points to finish at 61,940. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange added 49 points to end at 18,315.
