Pedestrian dies after hit by a load-carrier in Central Kashmir’s Budgam

Budgam, May 16, KNT: A pedestrian died after being hit by a load carrier in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday, official sources said.

They said that a load carrier (JK04C-8131) hit a pedestrian at Aripanthan village of Beerwah Budgam. The pedestrian was critically injured, and taken to Sub-District Hospital Magam where doctors declared him brought dead.

Official sources identified the victim as Moomin Ahmed Dar son of Muhammad Amin, a resident of Aripanthan.

Police have arrested the load carrier driver Muhammad Lateef Sheikh son of Abdul Rashid of Kawoosa Khalisa village and registered a formal case in this regard. [KNT]
