Third G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group meeting underway in Mahabalipuram near Chennai

On the second day of the G 20 sustainable finance working group today, the morning session will have a discussion on mechanisms for mobilization of timely and adequate resources for climate finance.

The discussions will revolve around the side event which took place yesterday on policy measures and financial instruments for catalyzing the rapid development and deployment of green and low-carbon technologies.

Members will reflect upon and provide recommendations on dealing with the reduction of carbon emissions. Later in the day, there will also be a workshop on transition, finance, data and metrics for climate-aligned investments and sustainability data issues.

On the first day, the discussion was on enabling finance for the sustainable development goals. The members shared their opinions on improving nature and biodiversity and deployment of green and low-carbon technologies.

The delegates were provided traditional Tamilian food in banana leaves with local delicacies.
