Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel inaugurates Semicon India Exhibition in Gandhinagar

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated Semicon India Exhibition at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on 25th July 2023. Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar was present on the occasion.

Addressing a press conference after inaugurating the exhibition, the MoS Rajeev Chandrasekhar said, India has taken a big leap in the semiconductor manufacturing sector. He said, with the policy efforts of the state government and the entry of global semiconductor giants in Gujarat, the state has become the epicenter for Semiconductor innovation.

Stressing upon the wide range of growth opportunities in the sector, the minister said, the coming decade will be of semiconductors and electronics.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said, the semiconductors being the basic need of any industry, the government is giving major boost to the semiconductor sector.

The exhibition is being organised as part of the Semicon India 2023’ conclave that is being organised by India Semiconductor Mission in close collaboration with industry and industry associations. The Chief Minister said the Semicon India exhibition will offer wide opportunities to the industries, academia as well as students to know about the prospects of the emerging sector.

The six-day-long exhibition will conclude on 30th July. The event will showcase India’s journey towards becoming a global powerhouse in the Semiconductor sector.

In addition to showcasing innovations, the event will comprise of 25 startups who will showcase their innovations and connect with industry leaders.
