Sensex plunges 677 points, Nifty to settle at 19,527

The Key domestic share indices today logged losses of more than one percent. The BSE Sensex declined below the 65,800 level while the NSE Nifty ended near the 19,500 mark.

Both indices fell amid negative cues from the global stocks. Share markets around the globe witnessed losses after rating agency Fitch downgraded the US credit rating by one notch to AA.

The BSE Sensex plunged 677 points to trade at 65,783. The NSE Nifty also declined 207 points to settle at 19,527.
