Nagaland to launch first phase of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 immunisation drive today

Nagaland will launch the first phase of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 immunisation drive today. Principal Director of Health & Family Welfare department  Nagaland Dr.Vibeztuonuo M Sachu will officially launch the IMI 5.0 at Seikhazou Urban Primary Health Centre Kohima this morning.

Health & Family Welfare department  Nagaland created 209 IMI sessions in 12 districts, targeting 1155 children in 0 to 2 years, 730 children of 2 to 5 years and 179 pregnant women.

The objective of IMI 5.0 is to identify all children up to 5 years for missed doses, register them on U-WIN and vaccinate them in specially planned IMI sessions.

The initiative also represents the nationwide effort to eliminate Measles and Rubella by ensuring that every child under 5 years completes the crucial two-dose schedule of Measles and Rubella.
