Rupee closes at Rs 82.94 against US dollar

In the forex market, the rupee closed at 82 rupees and 94 paise against the US dollar.

The dollar index, which indicates the US currency’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, was at 102.82 in intra-day trade.
