Woman dies in Shopian road accident

Shopian, Aug 28, KNT: A middle-aged woman died after being hit by a motorcycle in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday.

Official sources said that the incident occurred in Melhura hamlet of the district.

They said that the woman who has been identified as Saja Begum wife of Ghulam Muhammad Koka died on the spot.

Police have registered a case and efforts are on to track down the motor-cyclist who fled away from the spot after allegedly hitting the victim. [KNT]
