Cop and his friend die in Poonch road accident, son critical
Poonch, Sep 26, KNT: Two persons including a cop died while the son of the deceased cop sustained injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in Poonch district of Jammu region.
The police said that an Alto car (JK12C-6052) skidded off the road and fell into over 100-feet deep gorge in Poonch. There were three persons including a father-son duo in the vehicle. The father who was working as a Selection Grade Constable and identified as Muhammad Sidiq died on the spot while his son Naeem-ul-Sadiq, sustained injuries. Another person Jameel Ahmed accompanying them died in the hospital.
The mishap occurred near Zirat Plera area of the district.
Police in this regard have registered a formal case. The vehicle was completely damaged in the accident. [KNT]
