Over 70 animals charred to death in Kishtwar fire incident

Over 70 sheep and goats were charred to death in a horrific fire incident in Dachan area of Kishtwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources said that fire engulfed a tin shed housing sheep and goats of an individual. They said that the tin shed was completely damaged in the fire incident.

The charred bodies of 74 goats and sheep were recovered from the debris which belonged to an individual namely Lala Chopan.

 Chopan told reporters that he has lost everything and is now pinning hope on the government for help.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case to ascertain the cause of the fire. [KNT]
