Local soccer player dies of electrocution in Baramulla

Baramulla, Oct 5, KNT: A young man was electrocuted on Thursday while carrying out some repair work at home in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The mishap occurred in the victim’s native Rangwar village.

Family sources of the deceased said that Imtiyaz Ahmed Rather (30) a well-known football player was mending an electric appliance at home when he came in contact with a live wire and received an intense electric shock.

He was later shifted to District Hospital Baramulla where doctors declared him dead. [KNT]
