J&K experiences earthquake of magnitude 3.5 on Richter scale

An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 on the Richter scale jolted Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake struck at a depth of 5 kilometres.

Earlier yesterday, an earthquake of magnitude 4.3 on the Richter Scale jolted Nepal. This was the second quake to have struck the land-locked Himalayan nation in less than 24 hours.
