Trooper allegedly commits suicide in South Kashmir’s Kulgam

Kulgam, Nov 10, KNT: A Para-military trooper allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday, officials said.

Official sources said that the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper was on duty near the Jawahar Tunnel in the Qazigund area. His body was found in a pool of blood and was shifted to hospital for postmortem.

Police in this regard registered a case under relevant sections of law.

Pertinently, yesterday an army soldier ended his life in Uri sector of Baramulla district by shooting himself dead. [KNT]
