Blood Donation Camp was organised in the Office premises of Principal Accountant General, Jammu and Kashmir
As a part of ongoing week long Programme of Audit Diwas (19-24 Nov. 2023), Blood Donation Camp was organised in the Office premises of Principal Accountant General, Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu on 20/11/2023. The Blood Donation Camp was inaugurated by Principal, Govt. Medical College Shri Ashutosh Gupta, Jammu along with HOD Blood Bank, Govt. Medical College Jammu Dr. Meena Sidhu, Administrative Officer Shri Ashwani Khajuria GMC, Jammu in presence of Shri Ravinder Singh, Sr. Dy. Accountant General, Shri Jagbir Singh, Dy. Accountant General, Shri Sukhdarshan Singh, Dy. Accountant General, Shri Surinder Kumar, Assistant Accountant General, Shri Ashok Kaul, Sr. Accounts Officer and Nodal Officer Blood Donation Camp, Shri V.K. Bhat, Sr. Audit Officer, Nodal Officer Media & Publicity Wing, Shri Ravi Thakur, Sr. Administrative Officer, Ms. Jyotsna Durani, AAO, Shri Sunil Kumar, AAO, Shri Atun Khargal (and Incharges Blood Donation Camp) and Shri Baljit Singh, Welfare Assistant.
The Chief Guests among other dignitaries were presented a bouquet as a good gesture. The blood was donated by around 75 donors of the Offices of audit, A&E and RTI, civil Society and defence forces. It was as good gesture to provide Blood support to the GMC who is providing medical facilities throughout the region particularly to the patients of Cancers, Thalassemia and Traumas. Principal GMC, Dr. Gupta in his inaugural address thanked the CAG organization for such a wonderful philanthropic act. He also appreciated the office for volunteerly organizing this donation camp and described the importance of donation of blood. He requested that such camps should be orgainzed by other departments as well .
Dr. Meena, HOD Blood Bank , JMC Jammu described the importance of donation of blood reiterated that a single point of blood can save 4 lives. Shri Ravinder Singh, Sr. DAG appreciated the Move of CAG to establish a direct connect with the civil society by organizing the different events of the week. He also informed that a parallel donation camp is being organized by our head office at Srinagar. Shri Singh also thanked the Principal Govt. Medical college Jammu, HOD Blood Bank for providing Blood donation bus and Van along with Medical and Para Medical staff without which it was not possible to run the show so magnificently. Some of the blood donors viz Smt. Sanjana Kachroo and Shri Narinder Gupta, both Sr. Audit Officers of the Organization reiterated that they were proud to be part of the donation camp and would volunteerly participate in such camps in future also. Light refreshments were distributed among the donors and other staff members. During this camp a fully equipped Blood mobile van donated to the Government Medical College, Jammu by INTAS foundation was also inaugurated by Dr Ashutosh Gupta and Mr Ravinder Singh.The blood donation camp was followed by painting competition in which children of employees of the organization participated in large numbers.
