HDFC Bank inaugurates second batch of 100+ BC Agent Centres
Ganderbal, Nov 24, KNT: HDFC Bank has inaugurated a new batch of 100+ BC centers across many states in India including the one in Beehama area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. The branch was inaugurated by the Headmaster of a Government High School.
The move is in line with the Bank’s unwavering commitment to financial inclusion and making banking accessible in the underserved regions of the country. These centers will function as a mini branch, with Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) assisting customers to avail banking products digitally. The VLEs, who are existing micro-entrepreneurs and are delivering Government-to-Consumer (G2C) services, now will additionally provide banking products and services to deeper geographies of the country.
HDFC Bank’s has always been at the forefront of providing superior banking services to its customers. Its extensive network stood at 14902 BC centres, 7,945 branches, 20,596 ATMs, across 3,836 cities and towns nationwide as on September 30, 2023. The introduction of the Business Correspondent Centres reinforces the bank’s commitment to expanding its reach and catering to the diverse banking needs of an ever-growing rural customer base. [KNT]
