Elections for United Quarry Association to be held in January

Athwajan-based United Quarry Association has declared that it has dissolved its working body and a new body will be constituted after the elections in the first week of January 2024.

 The Association said that all six members including the Vice President, General Secretary, and Treasurer resigned on 14 November and since then caretaking body comprising Shakeel Ahmed Rather and Farooq Ahmed Mir has been managing the affairs of the Association.

  The Association has said that the outgoing caretaking president wants to cling to the chair and he is being requested to desist from indulging in anti-Association activities. [KNT]
