Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia reviews preparedness of under-construction Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya

Devotees from across the word will be able to reach Ayodhya through flight from this month only. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia today reviewed the preparedness of under-construction Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya. Mr Scindia said that the Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya will start functioning this month only and it will showcase the cultural capacity of Ayodhya to everyone. He said that the first phase is about to complete soon with the runway of 2200 meters and 8 aprons. The total area of the airport will be 6500 square metres.

The airport will have the capacity of 2 to 3 flights per hour and it can land planes like Boeing 737 and air buses. Union Civil Aviation Minister said that cabinet will soon approve the second phase of the Shri Ram International Airport and the length of runway will be extended from 2200 m to 3700 metres in this phase so that international flights can easily take off from the airport. Big planes like Boeing 787 and will then be able to land on this airport. The total airport area will also increase from 65000 square feet to 5 lakh square feets in the second phase. Union Minister General (rtd) VK Singh and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath also accompanied him during the inspection.
