Govt is committed to promote alternative fuel & biofuel says, Union Road & Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari

Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari today said that the government is committed to promote alternative fuel and biofuel and it has taken several measures in this direction.

Replying to supplementaries during the Question Hour in the Rajya Sabha, Mr. Gadkari said ethanol pumps are being set up in the country and e -vehicle and hydrogen vehicles are being promoted.  He also said flex-fuel ethanol-powered car has been launched in the country.

The Minister added that the construction machine powered by hydrogen by JCB has also been started and soon, trucks running on hydrogen will also be started to check the vehicular pollution in construction work.
