Prez Murmu arrives at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan
President Draupadi Murmu has arrived at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan on 23 Dec 2023, Saturday. She has been received at the airport by Governor Kalraj Mishra and Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. She is scheduled to attend an Army programme being organised at Pokhran Field Firing Range in Jaisalmer.
After that, she is to participate in an interaction programme with females under the Lakhpati Didi initiative, to be organised at Shaheed Poonam Singh Stadium. This programme is being organised by the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department of Rajasthan and Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Development Council.
State General Manager of Rajasthan Grameen Aajivika Vikas Parishad – Rajivika said that more than five thousand women of self-help groups are going to participate in the programme. Around 45 lakh women have benefited through these Self Help groups.
