Delhi continues to grapple with biting cold and fog, causing delays in flight and train operations; 18 trains bound to Delhi running late

The national capital continues to grapple with biting cold and fog, causing delays in flight and train operations.

 

According to the Indian railway around 18 trains bound to Delhi are running late. As per the Ministry, the long-distance train Puri-Nizamuddin Purushottam Express is running approximately 6 hours behind schedule.

The five other trains are also experiencing delays ranging from 3 to 5 hours.

Meanwhile, Dense fog prevailed in parts of Delhi and adjoining states as coldwave conditions continued.

According to the India Meteorological Department, very dense fog was witnessed in isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, West Rajasthan, and Bihar at 5.30 am today.

The weather department also said dense to very dense fog conditions are likely to prevail over north India for the next five days.
